What is Secure Storage, and why does Cubeless Island use it?

Secure Storage is an isolated, browser-contained file system built into Cubeless Island. It ensures that files never touch your local hard drive or any external environment outside the browser.

All downloaded files (documents, images, videos) are routed to Secure Storage automatically, not to your operating system's Downloads folder.
Screen recordings captured inside Cubeless Island are saved here as .webm files.
Files stored here are accessible only from within the Cubeless Island browser.
Secure Storage is the designated destination for any file action (download, save, export) performed inside Cubeless Island.

How do I access Secure Storage in Cubeless Island?

There are two entry points to Secure Storage:

Control Center: Open the Control Center and locate the Secure Storage tool. You can pin it to your toolbar for one-click access in future sessions.
Island Tools: Click the Island Tools icon in the browser navigation bar, then select Secure Storage from the menu.

How do I manage downloads and files in Secure Storage?

When you download a file inside Cubeless Island, it saves directly to Secure Storage, not to your computer's local Downloads folder.

How do I view a file?

Click any file name to open it immediately in the built-in viewer.
Resize columns in the file list to see full file names and metadata.

What actions can I perform on a file?

Right-click any file to reveal a context menu with the following options:
- Open: Launch the file in the built-in viewer or editor.
- Cut / Copy: Move or duplicate the file within Secure Storage.
- Rename: Give the file a new name.
- Compress: Archive the file into a compressed format.
- Delete: Permanently remove the file from Secure Storage.

How do I organize files in Secure Storage?

Create folders to categorize your media, documents, and recordings.
Select multiple files at once to perform bulk actions such as move, compress, or delete.

Note: If a newly downloaded file does not appear in Secure Storage immediately, click the Refresh icon inside the Secure Storage window to reload the file list.

How do I edit files directly inside Secure Storage?

Many file types can be opened in an in-browser editor without leaving Cubeless Island.

Images: Open in the editor to zoom, crop, or annotate.
Documents: Open supported document formats to make inline edits.
Screen recordings (.webm): Open in the video editor to split clips, add overlays, insert shapes, or add captions before saving the final version.
