What is Screenshot Protection Bypass
Screenshot Protection Bypass temporarily disables screenshot and screen sharing protections for a specific website. This allows free use of these features until the session ends, balancing collaboration needs with data security.
Enabling Screenshot Protection Bypass
If this feature is enabled for your organization, here’s how to enable it as needed:
1. Open the website where you want to use the screen capture or screen sharing features.
2. Click the green icon at the right of the address bar to open the Protected Browsing menu.
3. Under the “Screen Capture” option, you’ll see the following text: “To share your screen or take screenshots, please provide justification here.”
4. Click the word "here."
5. In the pop-up, provide a reason for enabling screen capture and sharing, then click Submit And Allow.
There are three options to choose from:
- Session with IT
- No sensitive data to share
- Other (fill in reason)
6. Screenshot Protection Bypass will now be enabled for the current session. It will be disabled once you close all tabs or windows for the current website or if the screen capture bypass time has expired, whichever comes first.
Note: You'll receive a notification when the screen capture bypass is about to expire; you can choose to extend or end it.
7. You can also click Cancel bypass in the Protected Browsing menu to disable Screenshot Protection Bypass sooner.
