Cubeless Island has a built-in password manager to make life easier. This setting is managed by your organization’s administrator, so you may or may not be able to use it. For organizations that have it enabled, here’s how to save, view, and manage passwords in Cubeless Island.
Enabling Password Manager
First, ensure that the password manager is enabled in Settings. This option is enabled by default for organizations that are utilizing it, but you can double-check by following these steps:
1. Click the Cubeless Island menu icon in the top right corner.
2. Hover your mouse over Passwords and Autofill and click Password Manager.
3. Click Settings in the left menu.
4. Ensure the Offer to save passwords option is enabled.
5. Ensure the Sign in automatically option is enabled if you’d like to be automatically signed into sites using your saved credentials; this option is also enabled by default.
Saving New Passwords
Passwords aren’t automatically saved in Cubeless Island; you’ll need to complete a few steps to save them. Here’s how:
Method #1
1. After signing up for a new account or signing into an existing account, click the key icon at the top-right of the address bar.
2. Your credentials should have been automatically filled in, but if not, enter your username and password for the current site.
3. Click Save, and Cubeless Island will store it for that site.
Method #2
If you’d like to save a password without signing into the site, you can do so by going to Password Manager via the Cubeless Island menu or in Settings.
Note: This option won't be available if your administrator has turned off the option to save passwords.
1. Click Add under the search bar section.
2. In the dialogue box, enter the site URL, username, password, and an optional note.
3. Click Save, and Cubeless Island will store it for that site.
AutoFilling Saved Passwords
For sites where you’ve saved your login credentials using the steps above, here’s what happens when you revisit those sites:
1. Cubeless Island will automatically populate the login form with your saved username/email and password.
2. Click Log In or Sign In on the site, and you’ll be signed in.
Accessing and Managing Saved Passwords
To view, edit, or delete any passwords saved in Cubeless Island, follow these steps:
1. Click the Cubeless Island menu icon in the top right corner.
2. Hover your mouse over Passwords and Autofill and click Password Manager.
3. Here, you’ll find a list of all your saved logins.
4. Click the arrow icon next to an entry to view it.
5. From here, you can edit, remove, or copy the credentials as well as add a note.
Note: On some operating systems, you may be prompted to enter your system password before you’ll be able to see the credentials.
Syncing Passwords Across Devices
To access your saved passwords on any Cubeless Island browser that you are logged into, follow these steps:
1. In Settings, go to “You and Island” to ensure sync is enabled. If it’s not enabled, click Turn on sync.
2. Next, go to Sync and other services > Manage what you sync.
3. Ensure the slider next to Passwords is enabled. You can only turn it on or off if Customize sync is selected; if Sync everything is selected, all sync data options will automatically be enabled.
4. All saved credentials will now be synced across devices.
Note: Depending on your organization, you may not be able to customize this section.
