What is a cache?
When you visit a website, your browser saves some aspects, such as images, scripts, and CSS files, on your device, known as a cache. Caching helps your browser load the website faster when you revisit it because it doesn't have to redownload all the data from the web server.
However, sometimes, you may encounter issues with loading or functionality on a website, and clearing your browser's cache can help resolve these problems. By clearing the cache, your browser fetches the latest versions of the pages you visit, ensuring that you see the most recent version of a website.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small files that websites save on your device to remember information about you, such as login details, shopping cart items, language preferences, and settings. When you revisit a website, your browser sends these cookies back so the website can tailor your experience based on the stored information.
While cookies enhance convenience and personalization, they can also track your online activities and collect data about you. If you clear your cookies, all tracking information is erased, but you'll also need to log in again, as websites won't remember your preferences anymore.
