What is the Island Clipboard?
The Island Clipboard is a built-in tool that stores text and images you copy within Cubeless Island, separate from your computer's clipboard. It can hold up to 50 items for flexible copying and pasting.
Formatting is preserved when pasting copied text. Any bold, italic, underlined, or other formatting applied to the original text will also be applied to the pasted text. It also provides a visual indicator by graying out the clipboard's contents if pasting is restricted on the current page.
Where can I find the Island Clipboard?
The Island Clipboard lives within the Cubeless Island browser, but it’s hidden by default.
There are three ways to open it up:
- Click the Island Clipboard icon on the browser toolbar.
Note: If the Island Clipboard icon isn't showing here, you can also find it in the Waffle Menu, which gives you quick access to the various tools available in Cubeless Island. Island Clipboard can be pinned for easy access or unpinned to clean up the browser toolbar.
- Press Option + Shift + V (Mac) or Alt + Shift + V (Windows/Linux) on your keyboard.
- Right-click on a web page and select Island Clipboard from the menu.
The Island Clipboard will open in the Cubeless Island side panel.
You can close the Island Clipboard using the same methods for opening it or by clicking the X at the top right corner of the sidebar.
What are the features of Island Clipboard?
The Island Clipboard has two tabs: My Clips and Smart Clips. My Clips is where you'll find the data you've copied manually. Smart Clips are set up by your organization's admin to automate tasks and ensure consistency across the board.
Copy, Preview, Download, and Delete
Hovering over an item will reveal three icons to the far right: Use, Show clip preview, Pin, and Menu.

Use: This will copy the selected item to the clipboard.

Show Clip Preview: Island Clipboard only shows a short preview of the copied text or a small image for copied images, by default. You can view the full copied clip and see a larger image size by clicking the Eye icon. Note: This icon will not show for short text clips that are already fully visible on the clipboard.

Pin: This will move the selected item to the "My pinned clips" section for quick access. They'll remain here regardless of subsequent items being copied. You can click the Unpin icon to remove them from this section.

Menu: Clicking this will display the Download and Delete icons. Downloading lets you save images from the clipboard to your device.
Deleting removes items from the Island Clipboard; items are instantly deleted when you click Delete, so use caution with this feature.
Delete All Clips
You can delete all clipboard contents at once by clicking the Menu icon to the right of the Smart Clips tabs and selecting Delete all saved clips.
Search for Clips
To find specific clips, click on the Magnifying Glass icon at the top left of the Island Clipboard sidebar. This will bring up a search bar where you can type in the text you're looking for.
Resize the Side Pane.
When you move your mouse over the space between the website you're looking at and the Island Clipboard, the cursor changes into a double arrow, indicating that you can now resize the side panel. To do so, click the left mouse button and drag the cursor to the left or right to increase or decrease the size of the Island Clipboard.
Is the Island Clipboard Secure?
Yes, Island Clipboard is DLP-compliant, secure, and trustworthy. DLP compliance, or Data Loss Prevention compliance, refers to adhering to regulations and standards that aim to safeguard sensitive or confidential information. These measures prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, or leakage of such data.
Can I paste my copied items outside of Cubeless Island?
Island Clipboard only allows copying and pasting content exclusively within the Cubeless Island browser. You cannot access or paste your copied items outside the browser. If you try to paste content from Island Clipboard outside the browser, you’ll see the text NOT_ALLOWED instead of the copied content.
